In brief, you should know the following about Durdy Rat Productions:  We stepped onto the scene in 1998 under the name SpeakEz, Inc. which produced horror movies and props for haunted attractions.  That division was sold in 2000, establishing Durdy Rat Productions in 2003. 

    The reason we chose the name Durdy Rat is simply because competing companies didn't like how we were (and still are) producing quality entertainment for much cheaper.  We have always given a percentage of any profit we make to charities unlike similar companies who are out to take, and never give.  Other companies called us "dirty rats" so we decided to adopt the name with a slight change of the spelling.  We are doing what many believe can not be done.  We have been responsible for providing outstanding independent movies and commercials ever since. Our business is located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York.

   
    John Beaty the CEO of Durdy Rat Productions was born and raised in Oklahoma.  John being a huge fan of Halloween excites himself with his haunted attractions, many of his innovations are seen coast to coast in several haunted attractions you see today.  He spent a month filming and photographing all along the Ivory Coast of Africa. Inspired he came home to N.Y. and began what we are today.
